Launching of Israel Metaverse Embassy
At VRillAR, the VR & Metaverse Start-Up where I am currently employed, we have developed the world’s first government-authorized Metaverse Embassy for the Embassy of Israel to Korea.
In my role, I actively participated in client programming using Unreal Engine, employing the Rokoko Motion Capture Suit. I was responsible for creating all animation and motion assets, seamlessly integrating them into the characters within the software using Unreal Engine. Additionally, I managed the hosting of images and clips within the software through external hosting services.
Furthermore, I conducted interviews on the intersection of the metaverse and diplomacy, engaging with ambassadors from Israel, Greece, and Rwanda, as well as Professor Theodore Yoo, the head of Yonsei Metaverse Lab.

What is Motion Capture?
Motion capture, commonly abbreviated as ‘Mocap’, constitutes a technology utilized in animation, filmmaking, and video game development for the purpose of capturing and recording the movements of real-world objects or human performers.
This process involves affixing markers or sensors onto a subject’s body or other objects, subsequently tracked by cameras or other motion capture devices. The gathered data is then employed to craft realistic and precise digital representations of the movements, enabling animators or developers to seamlessly transpose the physical actions of performers onto virtual characters or objects.
Motion capture finds extensive application in the entertainment industry to heighten the realism of animations and virtual environments, thereby fostering more lifelike and natural-looking movement in digital content.
2-Step Procedures of Motion Capture
Capture Session
In the capture session, performers or objects fitted with markers/sensors navigate within the designated capture area. The motion capture system concurrently records the real-time positional data of these markers. In the case of optical systems, a network of multiple cameras collaborates to triangulate the positions of the markers in three-dimensional space. Performers adhere to predetermined movements or engage in specified activities during the session. The captured data encompasses not only positional information but also additional details such as rotation and timing.
Data Processing and Application
Following the capture session, the recorded data undergoes processing using specialized software. This crucial step entails meticulously cleaning up the data to eliminate any anomalies or errors, refining the captured movements, and ultimately generating a digital representation of the motion. Subsequently, this processed data can be seamlessly applied to virtual characters, objects, or animations within computer graphics software. The end result is a realistic and accurate portrayal of the original movements that were captured. This digital motion finds applications across diverse fields, including animation, video games, virtual reality, and biomechanics research.

In these comic short clips, I employed Motion Capture Technology to generate a Metahuman that replicates gestures precisely in sync with my own movements.
Additionally, I am currently in the process of developing a step-by-step tutorial on motion capture technology.
Collaboration with Netflix, Disney+
I served as the Primary Product Manager in our startup’s collaboration with Netflix on the global hit series ‘Black Knight’ and Disney+’s ‘Revenant.’
Our company handled the 3D scanning in the 3D CGI department.
My name is credited in the Ending Credits, and both series ranked in the Global Top 10 on Netflix and Disney+ respectively.
Currently Developing VR Korean Language Learning Game
This clip serves as a demo version for the VR Korean Language Learning game currently in development. We anticipate launching it at the earliest opportunity.
Drawing on my master’s degree in ‘Korean Language and Literature,’ I designed the word-building system and crafted the script for the game’s storyline.
Leveraging the agglutinative nature of the Korean language, I implemented a word construction system akin to Lego blocks. The scenario I developed is a lighthearted sitcom depicting life of young generations in Seoul. This scenario has been translated into English, Japanese, Chinese, and Vietnamese.

3D for All
Our startup currently focuses on B2B business with entertainment companies like Netflix, utilizing a 3D studio.
However, with our motto ‘3D for All,’ we are aiming to expand into the B2C market, allowing the general public to create their own 3D profiles through 3D scanning.
To achieve this, I personally handled the A to Z of the project, including recruitment, planning, filming, and editing for this marketing material all by myself.

“Appropriately Inappropriate: The Ultimate Guide to College Life” is a novel characterized by a candid and direct narrative.
The protagonist, Yuri, a college student in their twenties, vividly recounts his experiences throughout the book. Set in a solitary dorm by the sea, Yuri resides among fellow students with an average age of 20. The story unfolds as Yuri attends a freshmen welcoming party, renowned for sparking numerous romantic connections. Amidst the festivities, a sudden deluge of red liquid from the ceiling disrupts the celebration. Startled students take to social media, attributing the incident to the infamous ‘Red Child.’
Subsequent to this event, the ‘Red Child’ gains momentum, documenting the incident on social media through photos and Hamlet-themed articles. As students witness their peers making public blunders, they progressively begin censoring each other, leading to both minor and major conflicts. Essentially, all students find themselves under the scrutiny of the ‘Red Child.’ In this scenario, the individual most on edge is the one who initially coined the term “Red Child,” unwittingly setting the stage for the phenomenon.
