- Primarily served as a translator for international referees and North Korean players during practice matches.
- Was instructed to inform South Korean intelligence of any concerning behavior from North Korean players. The scheduled practice matches were often canceled because the North Korean players refused to remove their Kim Jong Un badges, violating regulations that prohibited wearing accessories.
